Welcome to EPIC Canine!

Jenny Kerwick’s enthusiasm, expertise and love of dog training is widely recognized by her students. She founded EPIC Canine with one goal in mind: to share this knowledge, motivating teams to be their very best through confident understanding and clarity of communication!

Jenny first became intrigued by dog training when she took on the unique challenge of teaching her Siberian Huskies Agility. Although she was having little success and was disheartened that many classes, seminars, and books attributed her dogs’ behavior to the independence of the breed, she refused to give up. After continuous struggles she decided to attend a Clicker Expo, where she was introduced to the name of an innovative trainer and educator who would have a tremendous impact on her understanding: Susan Garrett.

Astounded by Susan’s knowledge of the science behind animal behavior and her ability to translate these principles into practical application, Jenny knew she had found the right path. While working through Crate Games and Ruff Love she started to see the results she was looking for. From then on she set out to learn all she could. She joined every online class Susan rolled out:  Inner Circle, Mastermind, Handling 360, Agility Nation, and so on. She was even lucky enough to be selected for a small in-person training group in 2011, and would later become an instructor for Susan’s online programs.

Through this collaboration she had the privilege of working with some of the top trainers in the world, including the great Bob Bailey, Lynda Orton Hill, Justine Davenport, Jessica Patterson, Andrea Guindon, Simone Holt, Shelly Wood, Kamal Fernandez, Dave Munnings, Tamas Traj,  Zeljko Gora, and Bobbie Lyons to name a few. She learned more than she could ever have imagined was possible!

Her greatest teachers, she insists, are her dogs. They have each brought with them profound lessons that continue to inspire her to evaluate her depth of understanding and strive to learn more.

3/4 of the pack!

Above all, she hopes her experience will help others push past limiting beliefs, grow understanding, and develop brilliant training mechanics to be the best they can be for their canine partners.

Every dog and every handler can be EPIC!
